Organizations
We urge small businesses, companies, corporations, environmental, and educational organizations to become GreenCommonwealth Group partners who help develop Green Earth Schools™ and receive a variety of benefits.
Our schools are community and globally focused because we teach in ways that link students’ research, analysis and solutions directly to the social, economic, and environmental needs of the local, national and global communities.
We seek small and large scale alliance partners in such areas as retail, services, housing, the environment, the economy, community government, technology (green, sustainable, information and media), entertainment and media, the global future and health and wellness. Our students want to help solve your concerns, to make your green efforts more successful.
Each Green Earth Schools™ faculty and students meet each quarter with community, government, business and non-profit alliance partners to identify critical local problems. These issues then become the subject for an academic unit with specific curriculum devoted to it. Students work on researching, exploring, creating and testing their solutions that then are taken to the community for application and analysis. Alliance partners will be involved in assessing and implementing student solutions.
We actively encourage alliance members to visit our schools and share their knowledge capital to generate other problem areas and solutions. Based on the degree of their involvement, alliance members will have the opportunity to pursue joint-ventures with our students, staff, and other alliance members, with the goal of producing non-profit or commercial products.
Our goal is to engage the community to create ongoing opportunities for critical debate, collaboration, joint engagement and knowledge spillover. By engaging the larger community, we empower our teachers and students to create relevant real world problem sets for courses that seriously challenge our student teams to think about the world works and how the world can operate in a more sustainable and humane way.
